#### In the video below, we show you how to install and configure the Zenarmor plugin in OPNSense

Zenarmor, formerly known as Sensei, is a plug-in for open source firewalls made by Sunny Valley which aims to turn your classic firewall into a next generation firewall (NG-FW)

Basically, it provides better monitoring of your network traffic and a better way of controlling access at an application level

Now, OPNSense has a big advantage over other firewalls because you’ll be able to manage Zenarmor locally

With other firewalls, you would have to use a cloud portal for managment which is a terrible idea for internal networks

Steps Taken

Check the hardware requirements

Update OPNsense

Install Zenarmor plugin

Configure Zenarmor using the Wizard

Edit the security policy

The free version only has a default policy

A subscription allows you to add additional policies
