How to use TechLogHub

Karma is TechLogHub's reputation currency. It is earned through community contributions and milestones, and spent on platform actions such as applying to jobs and featuring products. Every account's balance and full transaction history live in the dashboard's Karma Wallet.

Every new TechLogHub account starts with a +100 karma welcome bonus, credited automatically at signup. That starting balance is enough to apply to several jobs or begin contributing immediately.

Karma is earned through contributions: +20 for each product review, +30 for verifying product revenue with a payment provider, and milestone bonuses from +5 to +50 through the Journey — for actions like verifying email (+10), completing a profile (+15), a first approved product (+30), badge verification (+25), and reaching 1,000 product views (+50). Karma packs can also be purchased.

Karma is spent on job applications (minimum 5 per application, with higher spends ranking the application higher). Featured product placement is a separate paid sponsorship — see the pricing page. A debit is blocked if the account balance is insufficient, so karma can never go negative.

Yes. Two one-time karma packs are available from the Karma Wallet: the Starter Booster with 75 karma for $25, and the Professional Pack with 150 karma for $50. Payment is processed through Razorpay as a one-time purchase — no subscription involved.

Yes, in defined cases: a rejected job application refunds the karma spent, and when a job is filled or closed as hired, all non-hired applicants are refunded automatically. Refunds appear as credit transactions in the Karma Wallet history.

The Karma Wallet at Dashboard → Karma shows the current balance, total karma earned over the account's lifetime, available karma packs, and a history of recent transactions with their type — credit, debit, or refund — and reason.

Total karma earned is a lifetime counter that increases with genuine earnings — signup bonus, reviews, revenue verification, milestones, purchases, and admin adjustments. Job-application refunds return spent karma to the balance but do not inflate the earned total.

Yes. The top contributors leaderboard ranks community members by karma earned, so reviews, milestones, and other qualifying contributions directly translate into leaderboard standing.

Actions that spend karma are blocked when the balance is insufficient — the platform never allows a negative balance. The balance can be raised by contributing (reviews, milestones) or by purchasing a karma pack from the wallet.

The Journey at Dashboard → Journey is a milestone timeline tracking progress through the platform. It contains 15 fixed milestones across four categories — Getting Started, Builder, Community, and Growth — shown with a completion progress bar, the karma earned from milestones, and a pointer to the next milestone to unlock.

Getting Started covers joining, verifying email (+10), completing a profile (+15), and subscribing to the newsletter (+5). Builder covers a first product submission (+20), first approval (+30), revenue verification, and badge verification (+25). Community covers first review, five reviews, first comment (+10), and first saved product (+5). Growth covers 100 product views (+20), 1,000 views (+50), and a first job application (+10).

Milestones are checked each time the Journey page loads. Any newly completed milestone is recorded and its karma credited exactly once — a milestone can never pay out twice. Some milestones award no separate karma because the underlying action already pays, such as reviews earning +20 each.

Milestones unlock automatically once the underlying condition is met — the Journey verifies conditions against real account data on each visit, so a milestone earned elsewhere on the platform appears as unlocked the next time the Journey page opens.

Next Up highlights the first milestone in the catalog order that has not been achieved yet, with a link to the action that unlocks it — a direct suggestion for the next contribution to make.

Milestone bonuses range from +5 to +50 each. Completing the full Journey — profile setup, first product submitted and approved, badge verified, community contributions, and view growth milestones — adds up alongside the +100 signup bonus and per-action earnings like +20 per review.
