About NitroStack
What is NitroStack?
NitroStack is a platform for building, testing and hosting Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers and agentic AI apps. It combines an open-source TypeScript SDK, the NitroStudio desktop IDE and the NitroCloud serverless host.
What it does
- SDK: decorator-based TypeScript framework with Zod validation, dependency injection, middleware and built-in JWT, OAuth 2.1 and API key auth (Apache 2.0)
- NitroStudio: desktop IDE for macOS, Windows and Linux with an MCP inspector, AI chat, Ops Canvas tracing, test cases and OpenAPI/Postman-to-MCP generation
- NitroCloud: push-to-deploy hosting from GitHub with scale-to-zero, autoscaling, custom domains and automatic SSL
- NitroChat: optional white-label AI chat client for MCP servers
Pricing
The SDK is free and open source. NitroCloud has a free Hobby plan (30k requests/month), a Pro plan at $30/org/month (300k requests, then $0.10 per 1k) and an Enterprise plan from $250/month. Model tokens are billed per million.
Value & Audience
Value Proposition
One toolchain covers the whole lifecycle of a custom MCP server: write it with a typed TypeScript framework, test it in a desktop IDE, and deploy it to serverless hosting.
Problem Solved
Building production MCP servers usually means putting together separate pieces for schema validation, authentication, testing tools and hosting. NitroStack packages these into one framework, IDE and cloud host.
