What It Catches

Stripe Alerts monitors six specific event types, providing detailed information for each:

• High Priority: Payment Failed (amount, card brand, last 4 digits, and real decline reason), Dispute Opened (reason code in plain English and time left to submit evidence), and Subscription Cancelled (lost MRR and cancellation reason).
• Pro Features: Subscription Payment Failed (retry attempt number and next retry date), Refund Issued (amount, card details, and reason), and Large Payment Received (customizable threshold from $10 to $1000).

How It Works

Setting up Stripe Alerts is designed to be simple and fast. You can be up and running in about a minute without any onboarding calls or signups.

1. Install: Download the Chrome extension or the iPhone app.
2. Paste Key: Create a restricted read-only key in your Stripe dashboard with access to Events only.
3. Get Alerted: Receive desktop notifications via the Chrome extension or push notifications on your iPhone (checked every 30 minutes on Free, every 5 minutes on Pro).

Privacy and Security

Your data stays with you. Stripe Alerts is built with a security-first mindset to ensure your funds are never at risk.

• Read-Only Access: The tool can never charge, refund, or change anything in your account. It only reads your event feed.
• Chrome Security: The extension keeps your key in local storage and calls Stripe directly; it never reaches our servers.
